Nowadays, people's living standards are constantly improving, and cars have become more and more popular. Most car owners take good care of their cars and regularly maintain and inspect them. At the same time, the brake discs also need to be regularly inspected. So what work does Shandong brake discs need to be inspected for? Below, the editor will take everyone to understand, hoping to be helpful to you.
1. Wheel bearings. The reason why the wheels of a car can rotate is definitely inseparable from the bearings. The vehicle is driving every day, and the bearings are rotating every day. Therefore, it is necessary to inspect the front and rear wheel bearings. The inspection method is also relatively simple. Raise the vehicle and release the handbrake. Use your hand to forcefully rotate the wheels one by one and listen for any buzzing noises. If not, it indicates that it is relatively normal.
2. Brake pads. We are all familiar with brake pads, and the attention to brake discs may not be as high as brake pads. When checking the brake pads, it is also necessary to check the brake discs. If obvious chamfers or cracks are found on the brake discs, they need to be replaced as soon as possible. Remember that replacing the brake pads twice usually requires replacing the brake discs once.
3. Steering linkage. Loosening the steering linkage is a serious safety hazard, so it is necessary to inspect it during maintenance to avoid any omissions. The inspection method is relatively simple. Hold the rod and shake it vigorously. If there is no shaking phenomenon, it indicates that it is normal. Otherwise, it is necessary to replace the ball joint or rod assembly.
4. Spark plugs. The phenomenon of increased fuel consumption, decreased power, and acceleration sucking on the car is all related to spark plugs, so car owners should not ignore the importance they attach to it. Generally, spark plugs are divided into ordinary, platinum, and iridium. Although the service life of spark plugs is relatively long, they have a significant relationship with engine operating conditions and oil quality. Regular inspection of carbon deposits and spark plug gaps is necessary.
5. Shock absorber. There is no clear mileage limit for replacing shock absorbers, and they are usually replaced if they are damaged. Oil leakage is a precursor to shock absorber failure. Therefore, it is necessary to regularly check whether the shock absorber is leaking oil. Once the oil leaks, the damping of the shock absorber will decrease, leading to poor driving stability and comfort, and longer braking distance.
